Located adjacent to Charlotte’s Scaleybark light rail station, Rail South Apartments represents one of the city’s first affordable housing communities developed within Transit-Oriented Development (TOD) zoning along the light rail corridor. The completed development expands access to affordable housing while strengthening connectivity to transit, employment centers, and neighborhood amenities.

The community consists of two residential buildings thoughtfully designed to maximize a constrained urban site. Due to limited site space, both buildings incorporate integrated ground-level parking solutions. Building One features three levels of housing above a concrete podium, while Building Two includes pull-under parking beneath four levels of residential units.

Rail South Apartments delivers 81 affordable housing units with a diverse mix of studio, one-bedroom, two-bedroom, three-bedroom, and townhome-style residences, supporting a range of household sizes and living needs within a thriving, transit-connected neighborhood.
