SouthPark Community Partners (SCP) has unveiled a framework for a public-private partnership to transform Symphony Park into a premier urban park and true community living room. The $21 million investment will reimagine the 7.4-acre greenspace at the heart of SouthPark, realizing a decade-long vision for a signature public destination along the SouthPark Loop. The initiative activates the park as a vibrant, year-round destination through new microparks and introduces revenue-generating Jewel Boxes that support retail, food and beverage, and other park-serving amenities.

The project unlocks the park's untapped potential by creating new opportunities to gather, connect, and linger through expanded pathways, enhanced landscapes, inviting public amenities, and thoughtfully integrated micro-retail spaces. Neighboring Concepts is providing architectural design services for the flexible Jewel Box structures and public restroom facilities, creating spaces that support daily use while remaining welcoming and accessible for both everyday visitors and large community events such as concerts, festivals, and movie nights.
