About the Role

As we are transitioning back to the office, this position can be remote to start if time is needed to relocate. Our office policy allows for flexibility to work remotely and strongly encourages employees to be in the office a minimum of 2 days per week. In the role of Interior Designer, we’ll count on you to:

• Work collaboratively with the design team and clients on a wide range of projects including multifamily residential, commercial office, healthcare, and civic buildings
• Select finishes and be able to present selections to clients and other stakeholders
• Produce space planning documents and construction drawings
• Create FF&E packages and specifications
• Present to clients the latest design trends to gain feedback to inform design decisions
• Conduct on site field measurements and develop as-built plans to document existing conditions.
• Review job sites during construction and furniture installations
• Pay thorough attention to detail
• Work within budget constraints
• Be a creative problem-solver

Requirements

  • A four-year degree from a CIDA accredited institution

  • NCIDQ certification, LEED AP, and/or WELL AP preferred, but not required

  • Proficiency in Autodesk Revit, and working experience with SketchUp, Lumion, Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator), and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

  • Organizational and time-management skills and ability to handle multiple tasks and projects

  • Experience with code research is preferred

  • Ability to handle tight deadlines and make independent decisions, (i.e. does not need to be micro-managed to complete tasks),

  • Quick self-starter,

  • Previous commercial experience in an architecture firm is preferred

  • Not afraid to ask questions and a good team attitude

  • Creativity and problem solving, patience and resiliency

  • Strong communication skills
